Itinerary Detail

Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Himalayan snow treks and Expedition.After sorting out your custom formalities (Visa etc) you will be then transferred to the hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel and give you some time to freshen up. After this, we will attend an orientation about your trek led by our Trekking leader over a typical Nepali welcome dinner that will include a scintillating cultural dance performed by the local belles. You then return to your hotel for your first overnight in the valley of the gods! *Included Meal Dinner. (D)

Day 2Kathmandu: sightseeing & trek preparation (1,350m/4,428ft).

Kathmandu is the cultural heart of Nepal and has been a famous destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its borders to visitors. The city displays an interesting combination of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, the two important neighboring cities bear much cultural and religious significance to Nepal’s landscape. There will be a full day guided tour to the historic Durbar Square, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess), the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Boudhanath), in the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we meet our trek leader and other stuff for your adventure trip.Overnight at hotel, included meal: (B)

Day 3Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (915m) 5-6 hours drive.

Early morning at around 6:30 am, we drive by tourist bus to Pokhara along the Trishuli and Marshyadgdi River through the beautiful countryside of Nepal that offers villages, Rivers greeneries, rice fields and wonderful mountain sceneries. ‘City of Lakes’ Pokhara offers superb views of Annapurna including, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and others. We can explore the beautiful natures, caves, temples, and Lakes, during the afternoon -enjoy boating too. We stay overnight at hotel (B, B)

Day 4Pokhara - Naya Pul- Tikhedhunga: one and half hours drive & 5 hours trek.

Today, we drive to Nayapul to start our trek. From Nayapul we walk for about 30 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town with a winding street paved with large stones. The trail follows to the south bank of Modi River through sub- tropical valley forests and past a large waterfall and swimming hole. After lunch we head up the main trail to Sudami and climb gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1,495m), before pushing on to Tikhe Dhunga. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 5Trek Tikhedhunga - Ghorepani (2,850m) 5- 6 hours trek.

We make our ascent to the Ghorepani village. The trail crossing a stream on a suspension bridge, we climb very steeply on a stone staircase to the large village of Ulleri. The trail crosses two sparkling streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti where we stop for lunch. We continue walk through the beautiful rhododendron and oak forests. En route, we can see the superb views of mountains including, Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m), HIunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna south. After few hours of walking with several breaks through shadowy forests then we ascend gently up to the Ghorepani. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 6 Hike up to Poon hill (3,200m) Trek to Tadapani (2,590m) 5-6 hours trek

Today, early morning start 45 minutes hike up to Poonhill. We climb the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poonhill; the path offers the glimpse of the beautiful rhododendron forest. The brilliant viewpoint provides us an unobstructed sunrise views over the high Himalayas including, Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.)Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993m) Nilgiri (6,940m)Varaha Shikhar (7,847m,) Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m.) Mt. Annapurna South (7,219m.) and Mt. Annapurna III (7855m) .After taking photos and having some tea/ coffee, we return back to Ghorepani. We then descend through rhododendron forest, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 7Trek Tadapani - Chhomrong (2,170m) 5-6 hours trek

From Tadapani the trail leads a steep descend through the thick and dark forest. The path passes through the west bank of the Modi Khola. We then descent steeply down to the Kimrong Khola, crossing the suspension bridge and the trail follows up to the Gurung village for our lunch stop. Then a steep climb continuing up to Chhomrong, it is a beautiful village located on the lap of giant Annapurna massive. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L.D)

Day 8Trek Chhomrong - Dovan (2,600m) 5 hours trek.

The trail descends on a stone stairway to the Chhomrong Khola, and we cross the suspension bridge then trek up to Sinuwa Danda. After that the trek enters the upper Modi valley, the trail passes through thick & dark rhododendron forest up to Khuldighar. Then the track passes through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 9Trek Dovan - Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m) 4-5 hours trek

Today we ascends gently through a narrow Modi Khola valley to the Himalaya Hotel (2,840m) on the way, we can explore the Hinku cave (3,100m).The trail crosses a ravine and a major avalanche track just beyond Hinku, then climbs through large stone to Durali (3,140m.) We continue trek to the Machhapuchhre Base camp for overnight stay, the hike to MBC is somewhat strenuous but the unfolding views of the majestic Machhapuchhre are certainly a rewarding experience. Enjoy the views of Mt. HIunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, and Gangapurna and, of course, the Fishtail or Machhapuchhre itself. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 10Trek M.B.C - Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) 2-3 hours trek

The climb to Annapurna Base camp takes about one and half hours. The trail follows a stream, and then climbs to a few roofless shepherds’ huts alongside a moraine. We’ll see the snow boulders melting and forming small streams. The path widens as we enter the sanctuary, follows a stream, and then climbs to a few huts alongside a moraine. There are tremendous views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above the sanctuary. Annapurna Base Camp sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding panorama of the 360 degrees. Savor the mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Himchuli and other peaks. Climax of our trip almost ends today. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 11Explore the views of Annapurna range & return to Bamboo (2,300m) 5-6 hours trek

Weak up early morning and savor the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas, after taking breakfast, we start descending from ABC to Bamboo back through MBC, Deurali, and Dovan and finally reach Bamboo. Heading back down to the valley is much easier than climbing up. You will see the waterfalls that drop down from a high point to the rocks below. We pass through the forests with great views of Fishtail and HIunchuli mountains. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 12Trek Jhinudanda “Enjoy the natural hot spring” (1,780m) 5- 6 hours trek.

The trail leads to the Kuldi Ghar and then to Sinuwa Danda following the stone steps to the Lower Chhomrong and continue ascend on stony steps taking us to Upper Chhomrong. From Chhomrong the trek steeply descends towards the Jhinu Danda. You have chance to visit natural hot spring down to the stream and enjoy the hot bath. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 13Trek Jhinu Dada - Naya Pul - Pokhara: 6 hrs trek 1 hour drive.

Today will be a long day to walk, we start our trek from Jhinu Danda to new bridge and then to Kyumi. We continue walk through the Modi River to Syauli Bazaar. The walk is pleasant most of the way following the Modi River until Birethanti and an easy trek to Nayapul. From Naya Pul we drive back to Pokhara. We stay overnight at hotel (B, B)

Day 14Drive to Kathmandu and we go for a farewell dinner in the evening

Early morning at around 7:00 am, we drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu along the Trishuli and Marshyadgdi River through the beautiful countryside of Nepal that offers villages, Rivers greeneries, rice fields and wonderful mountain sceneries. Nearly after 5-6 hours drive we arrive to Kathmandu. Your day is free, however, at even tide; you will be taken to a well known Nepali kitchen for a delicious farewell dinner of the original Nepalese cuisine. As you enjoy your meal, you will also be entertained to an exciting cultural dance performed by the local belles. You will enjoy this experience which is complimentary on behalf of the ADVENTURE CLUB. Overnight at hotel (B, D)

Day 15Depart Kathmandu for home sweet home

Our office representatives will escort you to the airport for your connecting flight home. It’s been wonderful meeting you & knowing you all of these weeks.
